Volunteer Opportunities


Volunteers are the backbone of The Natural Way Birthing Project~ Fort Worth. In addition to becoming a volunteer doula, our organization needs volunteers who would like to contribute their time and talents to help progressively move us forward in the community.



Advisory Board:

Volunteer to assist the Project Director govern aspects of the program by bringing unique knowledge and skills which complement the knowledge and skills of the PD. Also, to maintain formal and visible relationships with people who are leaders in the community and people with highly respected skills in certain program areas. And, assist with fundraising, grant writing and other necessary skills to promote the program’s mission and goals. 


Speakers Bureau:

Volunteer to speak to groups and organizations about the issue of African-American infant mortality and maternal and child health issues affecting the overall birth community. Topics can be tailored to meet the needs of the audience.



Volunteer to advocate for the needs of pregnant women and families and for equal treatment and services.



Have some fun and raise money to support our programs and services. Volunteer to be on a host committee or promotion team.


Public Relations:

Help get the word out about The Natural Way Birthing Project~ Fort Worth. Volunteer to write feature articles, promotional materials, information for our website & newsletter.


Staff Positions:

Volunteer to help manage the day-to-day operations of the organization. Management, coordinator and other office support positions are in need of dedicated and committed volunteers. These are just a few of the areas for volunteering.
